th
2022 at her home.
Carolin was born March 18,1956 in Portland Oregon. She is the oldest of four children born to Dave and Jeannie (Long) Parkin. She was raised and received her education in Hillsboro and graduated from Hilhi in 1974. She later attended classes at Southern Oregon State and also Portland State University.
She met Ed Duncan in 1977. They were married on September 27, 1986. Carolin and Ed commercial fished in Alaska for many summers.
Ed passed away January 1, 2008. She was self-employed and ran her own catering business for over 40 years.

She was an excellent cook who was always in charge of the food and enjoyed bringing her special dishes to all gatherings. She loved traveling with family and friends, enjoyed gardening and growing her heirloom tomatoes. She loved holidays in general (any excuse to make a meal) but truly loved Christmas. She also really enjoyed trips to the beach and was a very competitive clam digger. She played a good game of cribbage and any and all card games. She had a mean poker face.
Carolin was a strong woman who fought cancer with dignity and grace to the very end. Her family was her everything.
She is preceded in death by her husband Ed Duncan and her father Dave A. Parkin.
She is survived by her loving husband Dick, her mother Jeannie Parkin, her siblings Dave and Gayle Parkin of Hillsboro, Tamara Ledford of Minneapolis, MN, and Douglas Parkin of Hillsboro. Carolin was the most loving Aunt to all of her nieces and nephews.
Her services will be broadcasted live
