Dean Alden Chase

Dean Alden Chase, 80, of the McMinnville community passed away on June 26, 2015 at his home surrounded by family.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on July 8, 2015 at Calvary Lutheran Church in Hillsboro.

Dean was born on September 6, 1934 in Creighton, Nebraska to Myrl and Ruby Chase. He was raised on his family farm and after finishing high school in Hartington, Nebraska he entered the military service in 1953 and was stationed in El Paso, Texas. While there he worked on guided missile systems until he was discharged in 1957. He then joined General Electric Company in San Diego California. There he entered College and graduated San Diego State University with a degree in physics. He was with General Electric until he retired in 1992.

Dean met his wife Carol of 59 years in his senior year in high school in Hartington, Nebraska, and were married on April 8, 1956. He is survived by his wife Carol, three children, Robert Chase of Oklahoma City, Kevin Chase of Petersburg Alaska and Ann Chase of Hillsboro Oregon. Six sisters, six Grandchildren, six Great Grandchildren with two more Great Grandchildren on the way.

He was preceded in death by his parents Myrl and Ruby.

In lieu of flowers the family would like donations to be made to the American Cancer Society.
