Donna Marcelle Ott

Donna Marcelle Ott, 89, of Gaston passed away Friday, April 21, 2017.
A Memorial service will be held May 6th at 11:00 AM at Mt. Olive Lutheran Church in Forest Grove, OR located at 17th and Douglas. A lite lunch to follow.
Donna was born September 11, 1927 on the family farm in Gaston where she lived her entire life.  She was one of three children born to Virgil Ray and Maria Kahler Dames Blum Lazott. She graduated from Gaston High School and then continued her education at Pacific University.  Donna met the love of her life, Robert Thomas Ott (Bob), while in high school. They were married on August 6, 1946 at Mt. Olive Lutheran Church in Forest Grove, OR.  Following their marriage they made their home in Gaston and raised their two children on the family farm.
Donna loved being a homemaker.  She enjoyed spending time in her yard and garden tending her flowers with her dogs. She was a member of the Soilers Garden Club.  She enjoyed sewing, knitting, baking and will be remembered for her excellent apple pies.  She worked as a Real Estate Broker, retiring in 2000.
Faith was very important to Donna.  She was baptized, confirmed, married and went to her Lord as a member of Mt. Olive Lutheran Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Bob in 2004; brother, Harley Dames; and sister, Helen Holscher.
Donna is survived by her children, Diana Rae McQueen of Portland, Robert Douglas Ott of Gaston; son-in-law George McQueen; grandsons, Matthew, Adam and Mark McQueen and their wives; five great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
The family suggests donations in Donna's name be made to a charity of one's choice.
