Helen M. Senz

A Mass of Christian burial was be at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in North Bend. Committal was at Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery in Coos Bay.

Helen was born May 5, 1930, in Forest Grove, to Julius and Jane (Vandervelden) Kindel.

After graduating from Verboort High School, Class of 1948, Helen entered the Good Samaritan Nurses Training Program in Portland.

She married Lennard Senz Aug. 30, 1952 and moved to North Bend to start their family.

She was a stay at home mom until her youngest started school. Helen then began working part time first for the North Bend Police Department, then for North Bend Medical Center, and finally with Bald Knob Land and Timber Co., retiring in 1990. She then did charity work throughout the community, cooking and delivering meals for the home bound.

Helen enjoyed salmon and shad fishing, knitting, playing cards and being with her family. She especially enjoyed the visits from her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Helen was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Lennard.

She is survived by her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be sent to Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, 2250 16th St., North Bend, OR 97459.
