Manus Mckeever

Manus McKeever age 88 passed away peacefully on November 16, 2013 surrounded by family.

Manus was born on December 7, 1924 on the family farm in Gortahork Donegal, Ireland to the late Charles and Annie McGeever.

He started his long career at General Motors in 1954, ultimately retiring in 1987 as a stockman after 33 years of distinguished service.

Manus became a U.S. citizen in 1954 and was very proud of being an American. Manus was a lifetime member of Defiance Athletic Association, loved listening to Irish music and liked horse racing andsports. He especially enjoyed activities and friends at the Claymore senior center.

He was preceded in death by his wife Margaret McKeever, daughter Peggy McKeever, sister Mary OBrien, and brothers Jimmy and Joe McGeever.

He is survived by his sons Charles and John McKeever, and daughters Ann Marie Gray and Eileen Przybylek and 5 grandchildren.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the memorial service at St. Elizabeth's Roman Catholic Church, 809 S. Broom St., Wilmington, DE on December 6th at 1000 am.

Interment will follow mass at Cathedral Cemetery, 2400 Lancaster Avenue, Wilmington DE.

In lieu of flowers,the family suggests contributions to St. Elizabeth's Roman Catholic Church.
