Margaret Elizabeth Weaver

Margaret Elizabeth Weaver, 78, a resident of the Banks Community died peacefully at her home on Thursday, December 20, 2012.

A funeral service will be held at 11:30 AM on Wednesday, January 2, 2013 at the Forest Grove Baptist Church located at: 2224 15th Ave.

Family and friends are invited to attend a reception following the funeral service in the Church's Fellowship Hall.

A burial will take place at 2:30 PM following the reception at Union Point Cemetery in Banks.

Margaret was born on September 3, 1934 in Hamburg, Illinois. She was one of four children born to Howard and Martha (Stewart) Jacobs. She moved with her family to Banks, OR in 1951 where she attended Banks High School, graduating with the Class of 1953.

Margaret met her future husband Robert (Bob) Weaver through his sister Millie, a longtime friend. They soon began dating and were married on December 26, 1953 in Brussell, IL. They initially made there home in Illinois and moved to Oregon in 1954 where they have resided since.

Margaret along with her husband Bob owned and operated Banks Hardware for 37 memorable years. She met every customer with her smile and truly missed being there after retiring.

She was a very spiritual person and truly loved her family. She opened up her home every Sunday for not only family, but to anyone who happened to stop by as all were welcome. She was a great cook and a very gracious host.

She is preceded in death by her son, Terry Weaver, her parents and three siblings.

Survivors include her loving husband, Bob, four children and their spouses; Candy and Bill Schultz of Portland, Tim and Rae Weaver of Banks, Carla and Dave Updike of Banks, Sheri and Greg Tanous of Forest Grove, 14 Grandchildren and 13 Great Grandchildren.
