Forest Grove, Oregon
With deep sorrow, we announce the passing of Nancy Geralyn Bentley, who left this world on July 29, 2026. Born on October 12, 1955 in Milwaukee, WI, Nancy was a dedicated daughter, a loving sister, Mother and wife, a resilient woman, and a generous soul. She moved to Oregon in 1985, where she made a beautiful life in Beaverton, Astoria, Gaston, and finally, Forest Grove. Nancy was a beloved figure in her community, known for her captivating spirit and wonderful parties. Her decorations for the holidays were eagerly anticipated by all who knew her. Nancy was a woman of many passions; she loved to travel, read, bake, and most importantly, spend time with her family.
Nancy's professional life was as vibrant as her personal one. She was a caterer and office manager, skills that no doubt contributed to her knack for throwing those unforgettable gatherings. A graduate of St. Pius High School, she was a testament to the value of hard work and dedication. Despite her many achievements, what mattered most to Nancy was her family. She was a devoted wife, a cherished mother, a doting grandmother, and a great-grandmother. Her love for her family was immeasurable and her absence will be deeply felt by all who loved her.
Nancy is survived by her children: Kiley (John) Booth, Daniel (Sasha) Patzlaff, Timothy (Angie) Patzlaff, her Step Children Josh (Malina) Bentley, Tina Wilson, Jake Bentley and Kim Conway; her brothers Terry and Bill Farnand; her ex-husband Steven Patzlaff; and her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, several cousins and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Neal Bentley; her parents William and Helen Farnand; and her siblings Kathleen, Mary, and Larry Farnand.
As we remember Nancy, let us reflect on the words of Catholic scripture: "Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted" (Matthew 5:4). Nancy's dedicated and generous spirit will live on in the hearts of those she touched. We invite you to share your memories of Nancy and upload photos to her memorial page. We take comfort in knowing that our love for her is reflected in the love she had for us, and that love will continue to bind us together. Rest in peace, dear Nancy. You will never be forgotten.
