Beaverton, Oregon
Our beloved (Tree) Therese Ann Miller slid into “home” on Sunday September 6, 2026 surrounded by family and loved ones. She was born December 2nd, 1977 in Hillsboro, Oregon.
Therese will always be remembered as a rare jewel in this world who loved us all unconditionally. She never met an underdog she didn’t love and always took care of others, often at her own expense.
She was a sunny little kid who loved growing up alongside her six siblings in Scoggins Valley and later in rural Forest Grove. She attended schools in Forest Grove and completed her GED with honors.
She was an athlete playing basketball, volleyball and softball. She channeled her love of softball into coaching a Little League softball team and a JV softball team for her senior project.
After high school she met and married her husband of 27 years, Paul Miller. They had three kids, David, John and Samantha. Those kids were the apple of her eye and the absolute joy of her life.
Eventually they settled into their current home in Beaverton, OR.
The kids were mostly raised when she was hired on by Providence, first as a claims processor and was later promoted to trainer. Trainees appreciated her patience and kindness, co-workers loved her sense of humor and merry-making for any and every occasion.
She and Paul joined fellow patriots at the American Legion post in Aloha Oregon. They forged many friendships there. The legion sponsored karaoke where Therese loved singing Alanis Morisette songs with son Johnny belting out tunes from the bratpack.
Lucky for everyone in her orbit Therese was a damn fine baker and a crazy good cook. Everyone will miss her cinnamon rolls, crescent rolls, rosemary scalloped potatoes, enchiladas and special cookies, just to name a few.
She was a diehard Seattle Mariner’s fan. She often sported their hats and jerseys. She loved watching the baseball games with her dad, and when that wasn’t possible they would be on the phone dissecting the game.
Her very favorite thing was driving to the beach, road snacks, tunes from her playlist blasting. Lots of laughs and so many good memories!
In her last inning here on planet earth she confided that she hoped some good might come out of her dying.
Rest in peace dear girl and bask in the arms of your Heavenly Father.
Love and kisses Tree, we will love you forever…….
