PDX, OR
TJ was born on September 28, 1980, in Portland, Oregon. He was raised in Hillsboro until the age of 9, after which his family then moved to Alaska. At age 15, the family moved back to Oregon, where he graduated from Glencoe High School in 1999.
After high school, TJ began working full-time as a flooring installer under the guidance and mentorship of his Uncle Scott, a skill he had acquired over time while working with his grandma and grandpa.
TJ was an avid sports fan, a passion that began when he started playing sports in his youth. He had much success in baseball. He loved the Ducks, Seahawks, Blazers and Mariners. TJ loved the outdoors- camping, fishing, crabbing, and clamming. He was known for his great sense of humour and quick wit. Tj loved to tell a joke, even if only to make himself laugh.
He was preceded in passing by his father Jeff Deardorff and his Grandpa Bob Clayton.
TJ leaves behind his beloved son, Jaxson; his loving parents Tammie and Tim Ziebart; his Grandma Pat Clayton; his sister, Natasha; nephews Kaedyn and Tristyn; sister Mallory; and his brother, JT, along with their families. He is also lovingly remembered by his grandparents and many aunties, uncles, and cousins.
His battle was part of his story, but it was never the whole of who he was. His struggles did not define him-his heart, his love, and his life did.
Please renumber the person, not the pain. Remember his smile, his laughter, his love, and the beautiful things that made him who he was. He was so much more than his struggles, and he will always be remembered for the love he gave, the lives he touched, and the person he was
