Tyler O'Dell

Tyler Christian O’Dell, 32, a resident of the Hillsboro community passed away on October 21, 2026.

Tyler was born on July 19, 1994 in Portland, OR. He was the third of five children born to Mark and Jacqueline (Miller) O’Dell. He was raised in Hillsboro and graduated from Century high school with the class of 2012.

After high school, Tyler attended Portland Community College. He always had an interest in cars and enjoyed working in the automotive industry. One of Tyler’s favorite trucks was a Chevy he and his dad restored and also repaired, many times.

Tyler, lovingly known by many, as “Smiler” had a soft spot in his heart for animals, was an avid reader, Harry Potter and Lord of the Rings being among his favorites and also enjoyed baking and cooking. He liked trying new recipes and wasn’t afraid to get a little adventurous with ingredients and he never met a buffet that he didn’t like. Tyler also enjoyed the outdoors, from dirt biking, to snow skiing, water sports and fishing, to family trips to Disneyland, Disney World and Hawaii.

He is preceded in passing by his grandparents; Helen Bomar, Beverly O’Dell and Perry O’Dell and uncle Kenneth Howard.

He is survived by his parents; Mark and Jacqui O’Dell of Hillsboro, brothers; Brandon O’Dell of Gig Harbor, Ryan O’Dell of Portland, Dylan O’Dell of Hillsboro, Travis O’Dell of Hillsboro, nieces and nephews; Kohnnor, Camilla, Corbin, Brooklyn, Quinn, Leo, Cade, and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
