Zenaida Donalvo Maraia

Zenaida Donalvo Maraia, also known as Zeny, was a long time resident

of the Hillsboro community. She passed away on October 27, 2021 at the age of

74 in the OHSU Hillsboro Medical Center in Hillsboro.
Zeny was born on November 8, 1946 in Davao, Philippines. This is

where she spent her lifetime growing up and attended college. She was the

fourth of eight children born to Silverio Donalvo and Corazon Florentino.
Zeny began her career by being a school teacher for several years in the

Philippines. In 1988, she moved to Hillsboro Oregon where she began working

at Spacelabs Medical Incorporation for 6 years. Her position was an Electronics

Production Assembler for various medical equipment. Her career further

moved to Thermo Fisher Scientific as one of the lead production assemblers

that manufacture beamtech. Her impact in this company has been present since

1996.
She met her husband, Joseph Maraia . They soon began dating and got

married in the Philippines in the year of 1987. As newlyweds, they moved to

America. Joe passed away in 2010, and Zeny continued to flourish life with

support of her loving friends and family.
Zeny was an unforgettable aunt, bestfriend, and lover. She loved to

spend time with her friends and family to talk about her life stories. Her talents

such as singing and dancing is what makes her fun and adoring. Zeny was

known for helping people and her generous desires. She was strong in her faith

in God, and would let the Lord's light shine through her goodness. All the good

she has shown to the world made everyone see her special soul.
